Student engagement & 21ST CENTURY SKILLS
It's commonly accepted that enduring understanding occurs when students are able to internalize information and connect them with personal experiences. If that is what we, as educators, hope to achieve, then we must find ways to make our curriculum tangible to our students. We're now in an age in which our students are eating up the latest technologies. This burning interest can be used in the classroom, too. By finding hands-on techniques that involve the use of technology we can help students become active learners. As active learners, students can come to master certain skills that they will need to succeed in today's society. Collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving are a few of these important skills and can be made available to your students while implementing our technology plan.

Their colleague Techy agrees to help them out after Teachy and Mrs. teachy relate their story of meeting with a former student who feels under-prepared for life in the 21st century workplace.
The proceeding link will take you to a graphic strip and an animated short that describe a story of one man's and one woman's struggle to rectify an issue that was belatedly recognized in their teaching methods.
